    Jan 2014 to Present GEICO – Technical Supervisor

    • Support GEICO’s Windows and ESX san storage for all GEICO data centers in the United States.
    • Maintain 1.2PB of storage space and over 2000 san switch ports on equipment in 10+ GEICO  regional facilities.
    • Restructure san switch environment to provide the highest level of availability to storage users within GEICO.
    • Provide guidance and insight on san consolidation methods and future san growth.
    • Support all user related issues with san storage connectivity and performance.
    • Evaluate new storage technologies for potential integration into GEICO storage environment.

    Nov 2006 to  Sept 2009   HP Storage Services – Consultant

    • Implemented HP Storage Works Enterprise Virtual Arrays into new and existing customer environments at 150+ locations across the United States.
    • Work with customers to understand requirements, plan design, configuration and integration of storage array into SAN fabric
    • Provide customers knowledge transfer and overview of HW/SW and overall configuration
    • Provide documentation of new configuration/environment
    • Install and configure SAN, Director and P/C class Blade switches (ex.  Brocade and Cisco switches) to support integration with Enterprise Storage Arrays. This includes configuration, zoning and ensuring switches are setup according to best practices and compatibility matrix.
    • Review and validate all heterogeneous host in environment which need access to the Storage Array are setup with appropriate HBA drivers, firmware, multi-pathing, etc
    • Work with Virtual Connect for C-class blade enclosures as well as Onboard Administrator configuration.
    • Implement EVA iSCSI/mpx100 installations following standards and best practices.
    • Perform fibre switch migration work
    • Assess existing SAN fabric and provide recommendations for updating of HW/SW, configurations and identify risks
    • Gather customer requirements, issues, challenges, timeline constraints, etc which impact the migration activities
    • Create a plan to migrate from the existing environment to new fabric and review with the customer for approval
